Cellar Assistant
Hourly – Full Time
In this position, you will report to our Head Mead Maker and assist in the production and packaging of our products.
- Cleaning and sanitization of equipment and cellar
- Assist in preparing batches from existing recipes as needed with eventual independent mead-making
- Take instruction from and work with Head Mead Maker in the creation of new recipes
- Under the direction of Head Mead Maker learn to operate all equipment used in the production process, bottling, and kegging products for the market.
- Keep cellar equipment and storage space clean and organized.
- Work with tasting room staff to coordinate product stocking needs.
- You will be responsible for ensuring it is a safe and clean place to work.
- Tasting room duties as needed and other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
To be considered, you must have:
- Strong communication skills;
- A passion for the craft beverage industry;
- Positive attitude and team-oriented approach;
- Craft brewing experience would be highly beneficial, but we are also willing to train;
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to work weekends
Physical demands include but are not limited to:
- Ability to lift 55 lbs above the waist
- Ability to bend, kneel and stand for long periods
- Work at heights above 10 ft
- Operate forklift – on the job training available
Tasting Room Associate
Hourly – Part & Full time
Tasting Room Sales Associates provide guests with a positive and educational experience, including welcoming guests, leading mead tastings, handling customer purchasing transactions, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the Meadery.
Hard-working individuals who enjoy working with the public, positive attitude and energy will fit right in! Experience in a retail, restaurant, and wine/beer/mead-making environment is an asset but not required.
Brewery or cidery taproom experience a plus, but not required.
Part time that can build into fulltime opportunity. No mead experience is needed.
